TRINITY SELT B1 TEST FOR INDEFINITE (ILR) AND NATIONALITY
To obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain or British Citizenship, you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening.
GESE Grade 5
- 10 minute speaking and listening test
- Provisional results on the same day
- Certificate usually within 7 days
- Speaking & Listening only
The exam consists of two parts: a prepared topic discussion with the examiner and a short conversation about two subjects chosen by the examiner.
After the test, you will receive an exam report form with your provisional result (Pass or Fail). Candidates in the UK typically get their Trinity SELT certificate within 7 days.
TRINITY SELT A2 TEST FOR FURTHER LEAVE TO REMAIN (Extension Visa)
For a Further Leave to Remain (extension visa), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test, you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening. GESE Grade 3 involves a 7-minute speaking and listening test with provisional results on the same day and a certificate usually within 7 days. After the test, candidates receive an exam report form with their provisional result (Pass or Fail).
